Ms. DeMine wrote "Overhauling Our Immigration System" for the Lee County Bar Res Gestae Magazine

Ms. DeMine is highly involved with community and local outreach. Immigration law is very dear to her and she spends considerable time reaching out to the local community. Below is a list of her community involvement:

1. AILA National Day of Action, April 6, 2017: Ms. DeMine traveled to Washington D.C. where she met with Congressman and Senators from Florida to advocate for immigration Reform

​

2. Conoscas sus Derechos: Sundays in April, 2017: Ms. DeMine has been volunteering her time on Sundays to meet with immigrants in local churches throughout Lee County. Her hope is to spread awareness in the immigrant community so that everyone will know their rights and be better informed. 

​

3. Haitian American Democratic Club: Monthly Meetings: Ms. DeMine is highly involved in the Haitian American Democratic Club and advocating for renewal of Temporary Protective Status for Haitian Immigrants. The program is set to expire on July 22, 2017. Ms. DeMine collaborated with the organization to organize a community outreach that will take place on May 6, 2017.
